		<description>how do you define &quot;interfaith marriage&quot;? i think there is a big difference between when one partner is simply not Jewish and when one partner practices another religion. In my mind, this is a murky area that adds to the confusion and emotion of this topic- i think marriages in which the spouses espouse different religions are different from those in which one partner is Jewish and the other is &quot;nothing&quot;  as many of these &quot;nothing&quot; people end up if not converting at least embracing Judaism. There should be a vocabulary for talking about these because while technically both are interfaith marriages, imho they are categorically different. PS i don&#039;t think you meant to, but you seem to imply that marriages consisting of someone who is born a  jew and someone who is a jew by conversion are interfaith marriages- such a marriage may be important to consider because as you say it does seem the case that the jew by choice is the more committed to judaism BUT these marriages are definitely NOT interfaith and it is certainly not inclusive to refer to them as such.</description>
