In my mind, this is a murky area that adds to the confusion and emotion of this topic- i think marriages in which the spouses espouse different religions are different from those in which one partner is Jewish and the other is "nothing" as many of these "nothing" people end up if not converting at least embracing Judaism. There should be a vocabulary for talking about these because while technically both are interfaith marriages, imho they are categorically different.
