Overview

Interfaith Outreach Committee
The outreach program at Beth Israel supports interfaith families, Jews by choice, and reaches out to the unaffiliated in their quest for spiritual fulfillment, learning and social affiliation within a dynamic, welcoming and caring Jewish community.

We offer:

  • An active, enthusiastic committee and a trained outreach fellow to help you and your family celebrate Judaism and explore the challenges of life cycle events and interfaith relationships.
  • Rich educational and social programming.
  • A bibliography of interfaith resources and a section of our library dedicated to interfaith issues.

Lifecycle Events

Under certain circumstances, Judges or Justices of the Peace are available to marry interfaith couples in our sanctuary. Contact Rabbi Stephen Fuchs, 860-233-8215 x229 for more information. Our clergy would be delighted to talk to you about other life cycle events, including baby naming and Brit Milah (Bris) ceremonies for interfaith families.
