Feldman Museum

The Abraham J. Feldman Museum was established in 1968 in honor
of Rabbi Abraham J. Feldman, who served as rabbi to the congregation from
1925 to 1968. Fanchon Hartman Title became the driving force,
and along with her co-workers made this dream become reality.
Today the Museum houses both antique Judaica donated by members of our congregation,
and items purchased since the museum was established. The museum represents both
the symbolic and ritual aspects of our observances plus other unusual items that
have a Jewish background.
Marjorie L. Rafal Archives

A temperature-controlled room houses our documents, photographs, and recordings from the start of our synagogue in 1843 to the present. We have the original records and translations
(from German) of the Temple minutes from 1870's-1890's that show the growth of
our changing from an Orthodox German speaking congregation to the adoption of
the Reform Movement. Email us for an appointment to see the collection.
