Service Schedule

Our Friday night Services usually start at 7:30 p.m. On the last Friday of the month, they start at 6:30 p.m. and are followed by a community dinner. Saturday morning Services are at 11 a.m. See the left hand column for additional Services that we offer regularly. Visit our home page or subscribe to our email newsletter, Chai Lights, for updates on the Services we are holding during the coming week.
Torah
Study

Torah Study is a highlight at Beth Israel. A lively
debate about the week's parshat is led by a member of the
clergy every Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Opinions
abound among the 20 to 30 particpants, and the hour is
never enough time to explore all of the questions that
rise from our readings.

Simcha Shabbat

Simcha Shabbat is a joyful Friday night service that celebrates
each other's simchas. Our birthdays, our anniversaries,
and the special events in our lives can have special meaning
if they are acknowledged as part of our sacred community.
Together we can express gratitude for the gifts of another
year of being together and a caring congregational family.
It is easy to participate. You will receive a letter in the month preceding your anniversary or birthday, inviting you to attend services.
You can share in other simchas as well: Is your daughter or son celebrating a birthday in an upcoming month? Do you know a couple who is celebrating a special anniversary? And you can do the same to honor any member who is a special friend, or to celebrate other Simchas of your own.
Of course, we truly prefer to have you join us for your Simcha Shabbat celebration, but homebound and out-of-town members can also find the support this program provides. Let others know of your celebration and enable them to give you a Mazel Tov and honor you with a contribution of their own to Congregation Beth Israel.
Simcha Shabbat is also a way for all of us to share in a warm Oneg Shabbat following the service, and donations that you make in honor of your simcha will be allocated toward the cost of maintaining our tradition of quality Ongai Shabbat.
For your participation and support, we will provide name recognition in the Shabbat program, in Chai Lights (our electronic newsletter) and in a future Temple Bulletin. Or, you may make donations anonymously.
Just contact our office, 233-8215, or email bethisrael@cbict.org to
make arrangements. For the Simcha Shabbat Form, click
here.
Please remember that all the Temple programs in which you participate will strengthen you, your family, and our congregation.
We also continue to welcome those who would like to participate on
a higher level and celebrate any upcoming Simcha by becoming an Oneg
Shabbat Sponsor.
