Thank you for visiting us. We strive to be a progressive, welcoming, caring Reform Jewish community that helps individuals explore their spiritual life, grow, and engage in our world in a supportive environment. A community where members are empowered to be each other’s angels.

There are angels within our midst, make no mistake about it. There are angels who bring food regularly to homebound congregants, who teach our children, who without any recognition regularly help members who just can’t make it on their own like they used to. There are angels in our midst who fight for justice and show what compassion really is. For me that’s what this place is all about, a community where members are empowered to be each other’s angels. We are here today, we are all here today, because of the angels, the messengers from God, who make life bearable, who make us who we are. That’s what this place is all about, a community where members are empowered to be each other’s angels.

We connect deeply with Jewish tradition by engaging in worship, celebrating holidays and lifecycle events, pursuing education at all stages of life, and building a holy, caring community. Our Jewish values inform how we live outside the walls of our congregation: we are committed to making the world a more just place (tikkun olam), fostering connections to the state of Israel and Jewish summer camp, and more. We work together to form lasting relationships. We look to our sacred texts for wisdom and guidance to remind us who we are and who we aspire to be.

Congregation Beth Israel welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds. Our congregation includes children, parents, grandparents, and friends – families who have been here more than seven generations and recent college graduates. We embrace interfaith families, Jews by choice, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals. We provide a home for teens, empty-nesters, and seniors: a sanctuary for individuals struggling economically, physically, emotionally, and spirituality.

Join us for a Shabbat Service, attend an upcoming program, or contact us to learn more. We look forward to meeting you soon!
